This Privacy Policy sets out how I use any information that you share with Dog Heaven Horsley and how I protect your privacy.
By using my website, social media pages, or providing your information to me you consent to my collection and use of the information you provide in the ways set out in this policy.
Legal Information
Dog Heaven Horsley take the issue of security and data protection very seriously and strictly adhere to guidelines published in the General Data Protection Regulation which is applicable from 25th May 2018.
I may make changes to this policy from time to time. If I do so, I will post the changes on this page and they will apply from the time I post them.
The Policy in Summary
I collect information that is personal data, i.e. Name, address, email and telephone numbers both mobile and land line. I collect and process information to provide the service of caring for your dog(s).
I only collect the information that I need or that would be useful to me in my goal to provide you with the best possible service.
I will only collect and use the minimum amount of data for the above purpose. The aim is to cause the minimum privacy impact.
In certain instances, I collect and use your personal information by relying on the legitimate interest legal basis set out in General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
I do my very best to keep personal information secure, including personal data online.
I will never sell your data and I will never share it with another company for marketing purposes.

What information do I collect and why?
I will only ever collect the information that I need to undertake and perform my obligations and duties to you in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale of services.
Personal information such as name, postal address, phone number, your preferred contact preferences.
What do I do with the information?
I will use the information you provide to:
-enable me to supply you with the services and information which you have requested.
-prevent or detect fraud or abuses of my websites and enable third parties to carry out other functions on my behalf
-for all other purposes consistent with the proper performance of my operations and business.
- to properly care for you dog(s)
I will mainly use your data to:
-provide you with the services or information you have asked for
-keep a record of your relationship with me
-ensure we know how you prefer to be contacted
-understand how we can improve our services.
Using your information for marketing
As of May 2018, I will only send marketing information to people who have specifically said that they agree for me to do so and to those that Dog Heaven Horsley have a legitimate interest in communicating with.
Consent
Data Protection says that I am allowed to use and share your personal data only when I have a proper reason to do so. The law says I must have one or more of these reasons and these are:
Contract: Your personal information is processed in order for me to fulfil a contractual arrangement – i.e. caring for your dog(s) or sending information you have requested
Consent: where you agree to my using your information in this way
Legitimate interests: This means the interests of Dog Heaven Horsley in managing my business to provide you with the best service in the most secure and appropriate way.
Legal obligation: Where there is a statutory or other legal requirement to share the information – i.e. for law enforcement purposes.

Sharing your information
I will only share your information if:
-I am legally required to do so, e.g. by a law enforcement agency legitimately exercising a power or if compelled by an order of the Court
-I believe it is necessary to protect or defend my rights, property or the personal safety of any staff people or visitors to my website
- I believe it is necessary to protect, care for or treat your dog(s), for example if they need to be attended to by a vet or be transferred to another boarding establishment.
Unless required to do so by law, I will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to me without your consent.
Storing your Information and Data Security
Information is stored by me on computers located in the UK. I may also store information in paper files.
I place great importance on the security of all personally identifiable information associated with my Clients. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of personal data under our control. For example, only authorised personnel are authorised to access user information. While I cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur while it is under my control, I use our best efforts to try to prevent this.
Unfortunately, the transmission of data across the internet is not completely secure and whilst I do my utmost to try to protect the security of your information I cannot ensure or guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur whilst data is being transferred.
I will keep your information only for as long as I need it to provide you with the services or information you have requested, to administer your relationship with me, to comply with the law, or to ensure I do not communicate with people that have asked us not to.
When I no longer need information, I will always dispose of it securely.
What I don’t do with your information
I will never sell or share your details to other organisations to use for their own purposes.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased destroyed
- object to receiving any marketing communications from us
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (known as a subject access request). I will take care to ensure that I only provide personal data to the right person.
- ask me to stop processing your personal data. If it is not necessary for the purpose you provided it to me for (e.g., caring for your dog) I will stop.
